My first thought was that I can’t believe I am this excited about a hose! Get a life!
But tis true. I am loving this darn Clear Flow hose in fact loved the first one so much I ordered two more and one for the parents house.
Finding A Lightweight Garden Hose
My first avenue of research is reading customer reviews. I put alot of emphasis on reviews by consumers. After researching I knew I wanted an expandable and lightweight garden hose.
Are we not tired of dragging around the old school green hose duct taped together to reach the hard to water areas of the garden. It’s heavy, it’s old, the hose has done its’ duty and time for a new model.
After talking to quite a few homeowners I found a few common themes among the lightweight expandable hose owners; the hoses only lasted one season and then burst apart.
After coming upon the Clear Flow hose on Amazon and the reviews I was also enticed by the safety features of the hose and the clear color.
Safety Features Of The Clear Flow Garden Hose
The hose is:
- drinking water safe with no lead or rubber
- lightweight
- 10 year warranty
- stores easily as the hose is flat when the water is discharged
- clear color
- freeze resistant
- expandable
A note on the expandable feature. I’ve included a video below by the inventor of the Clear Flow garden hose who explains the hose expands outward from flat to round. So the hose can be easily stored and hidden in a flower pot, behind a bush or stored as a normal old school style hose. The key to storing the hose flat is to discharge the water after use as the hose will then deflate from being a round hose to a flat hose.
I love the lightweight hoses. I’ve never had a clear one, this looks very cool.
