I have been a long time member of Amazon as you can see by my Amazon “badge”.
I actually can’t believe I have been a member since 1998! Oh My.
According to Amazon the site launched July 5, 1994.
So while I wasn’t “in” at the very start (who can even remember that far back,) I have been “in” for 18 years.
Obviously to be a participating member (as in we buy most of our items on Amazon) for 18 years I am a very pleased customer.
Three Reasons I Use Amazon and Amazon Prime
The cost of the items are at the very least competitive and in most cases beat the brick and mortar stores.
Convenience because I dislike shopping but like online shopping.
Delivery because the items are delivered when promised. I’d say 99.5% of the time the items are delivered as originally promised. And the remaining .5 % is due to weather issues.
What is prime in amazon? Or as we call it affectionately Amazon Prime.
Amazon Prime is the service or add on service in my terms which offers a huge array of services to your regular Amazon membership. The service costs an additional annual fee which is currently at $99.00.
Why Upgrade To Amazon Prime?
Due to the fact I order business and personal items with Amazon it only made sense to upgrade to the Amazon Prime service. The two day shipping with no minimum purchase required was the enticement for business items.
Through the years a multitude of services have been added to the Amazon Prime service and if one wants to take full advantage of the services I’d say there are more services offered than one has time to use.
Your annual Prime membership includes among its’ many services:
Prime Shipping – two day shipping without shipping charges
Prime Music – huge catalog of music
Prime Video – huge catalog of tv shows and movies
Prime Photos – Storage in the cloud
Prime Pantry – staples, personal items at very low prices (additional delivery charge applies)
Kindle Lending Library – no charge eBooks
How To Get Amazon Prime For Free ?
I recommend trying Amazon Prime when you have the time to really explore the features. Amazon Prime is offered for free on a 30 day trial period.
Do I Sound Like An Advertiser?
That is not my intent. It is simply my experience with Amazon and Amazon Prime.
For me it is about rate of return and the ROI is high for my use and lifestyle choices.
